ebcam Support
ebcam turns your phone into a bag full of film cameras. Pick a camera and shoot: every frame is developed on your phone with its own film stock, grain, light leaks and date stamp, the way a real roll comes back from the lab.

Frequently asked questions
How do I restore my purchase?
Go to Settings › ebcam Pro › Restore purchases. Settings is in the camera's ⋯ (More) menu. The same button is also at the bottom of the ebcam Pro screen.
Use the same Apple Account or Google account you bought Pro with. Restoring needs a connection to the App Store or Google Play. If the store has no purchase for that account, ebcam says “No purchases found to restore”.
How do I cancel the yearly subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not inside the app.
- iPhone: Settings app › your name › Subscriptions › ebcam › Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play › your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › ebcam › Cancel subscription.
To avoid the next renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Pro stays unlocked until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.
Where are my photos?
Every shot is developed on your phone and appears in the app's Gallery. With Settings › Save to photo library on (it is by default), developed photos and videos are also saved to your phone's photo library, in an album named “ebcam”.
If Keep negatives is on (also the default), the original frame stays inside the app so you can re-develop it later with another camera or settings. Negatives are not added to your photo library.
Nothing is uploaded. ebcam has no account and no server.
Why does ebcam ask for my location?
Only when you turn on Location tag, in Settings or in the camera's ⋯ (More) menu. It is off by default.
With it on, the place where you shoot is written into the photo's or video's own metadata, so your photo library can show it on a map. Photos you import also keep their original location. ebcam only reads your location while the camera screen is open, and never sends it anywhere.
Turn Location tag off and new shots are saved without a location. You can also withdraw the permission in your phone's settings.
What are RAW negatives?
RAW negatives (DNG) is an iPhone-only option in Settings. It appears when Keep negatives is on, and it is off by default.
With it on, each frame is also kept as a DNG file, on iPhones and lenses that support RAW capture. When you re-develop the shot later, exposure is corrected from the RAW data, so there is far more room to rescue over- or underexposed frames. A RAW negative takes about 25 MB per frame and stays inside the app.
I don't see manual ISO or shutter speed
Manual exposure (ISO, shutter) appears in the camera's ⋯ (More) menu only when your phone's camera lets apps set ISO and shutter speed directly. On phones that don't, the option is hidden.
Support can also differ between the front and back cameras and between lenses, so try switching. Once it's on, slide to set ISO and shutter speed; double-tap to go back to auto.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone with iOS 16.0 or later, and Android phones with Android 7.0 or later.
A few features depend on the phone's camera: RAW negatives and manual exposure only appear where the hardware supports them. Even without a working camera, you can import photos from your library and develop them.
How do I delete my data?
Everything ebcam stores is on your phone. To delete photos, open the Gallery, tap Select, pick the photos and tap Delete. Their negatives are deleted with them. Copies already saved to your photo library stay there; delete those in your photo library app.
Uninstalling ebcam removes everything stored inside the app: photos, negatives, settings and your own film profiles. There is no account or server, so there is nothing else to delete on our side. If your phone backs up app data (for example to iCloud or Google), that backup is managed in your own account.
Your Pro purchase belongs to your Apple Account or Google account, so you can restore it after reinstalling.
